Father Peter O’Donnell

Bio

Born January 28, 1983, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Kirk and Kim (Peterka) O’Donnell, he attended St. Pius X School in Corpus Christi and Manhattan Catholic Schools through eighth grade in Manhattan. He attended Manhattan High School, Conception Seminary College in Conception, Missouri, and St. John Vianney Seminary in Denver.

He was ordained May 22, 2010, by Bishop Paul Coakley at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Salina.

Assignments

• 2010: Parochial Vicar, St. Mary Queen of the Universe Parish in Salina.

• 2012: Parochial Vicar, Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Hays.

• 2013: Parochial Vicar, St. Francis Xavier Parish in Junction City while studying for canon law degree via online courses.

• 2016: Canon Law student at St. Paul University, Ottawa, Canada.

• 2017: Pastor of St. John the Evangelist Parish in Herington, St. Philip Parish in Hope, and St. Columba Parish in Elmo.

• 2017 – Present: Marriage tribunal work.

• 2020: Parochial Vicar at St. Andrew Parish in Abilene, St. John the Evangelist Parish in Herington, St. Philip Parish in Hope, and St. Columba Parish in Elmo.

• 2021 – Present: Pastor of St. Andrew Parish in Abilene and priest supervisor of St. Michael Parish in Chapman.
